"Alpine Halo9"
The Alpine iLX-F309E Halo9 is a DAB+ Digital Media Receiver with a 9-inch WVGA touch screen and drive-less design (no CD/DVD slot). IThe design uses a 1DIN chassis for installation. Still, it allows the oversized screen to hover in front of the vehicle’s dash, enabling easy addition to various vehicles without the need for custom installation. The Alpine iLX-F309E’s "Alpine Halo9" nickname describes the screen’s unique hovering position and 9-inch size.
Installation Versatility
An adjustable mount connects the Alpine iLX-F309E Halo9's 9-inch screen to a 1-DIN chassis. The screen hovers over or in front of the dash, while its rear housing tapers off cleanly at the edges for a thin and modern silhouette. Various mounting positions enable users to position the screen to avoid features on the dash, such as air vents and buttons around the radio.
There are four pre-set angle points (45°, 20°, 0°, -20°) to allow for better viewing of the screen. You can also position the screen 20mm deep from the default position to bring it closer to the dash and adjust its height up or down by 30mm from the default position to match its height. Once the desired screen position is determined, the screen and mount are fixed to the chassis for a sturdy fit and finish.
Add A Rear Camera, Or More, If Needed
Make blind spots a distant memory. The Alpine iLX-F309E has a rear camera input and overlays guidelines onto the camera image on the 9-inch screen to aid with distance judging (camera sold separately). Multiple cameras (for the rear and side) can be added when used through the KCX-C2600B Multi-Camera Selector (cameras and switcher sold independently).

| The Alpine Halo9 iLX-F309E features a 1DIN chassis, making it immediately compatible with any vehicle with a 1DIN or 2DIN radio dock. The 9-inch high-resolution touch screen is attached to the front of the media box with steel brackets to achieve a rock-solid display that does not wobble while driving. | You can adjust the Alpine Halo9 iLX-F309E’s display angle from +45º to -20º to match a wide range of dashboard angles. After the display angle is set, it gets locked into place during installation to be rock-steady while driving over any terrain and when pushing with your finger on the display to control the unit. | The display height can be adjusted +/—3cm from the centre. This allows fully standing or hanging display configurations and everything in between. You can also change the distance of the display to your dash within a 20mm range. After the display height and distance to the dash are selected, everything gets locked into place to be very solid. |

Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
Be smart when using your smartphone on the road. The Alpine iLX-F309E is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. After connecting your smartphone via the charging cable and activating Bluetooth for Android Auto use, you get your music, driving directions, and phone calls – all controlled from the 9-inch touchscreen and heard through your truck’s speaker system -- so you don’t have to look at or touch your phone and can keep it safely stored away.
Apple CarPlay
The Alpine iLX-F309E “Works with Apple CarPlay” and lets iPhone users make and receive calls, access text messages, play music, and get directions in a way that allows them to stay focused on the road. To access Apple CarPlay, you can use the capacitive touch screen or the mic button to activate Siri voice control. It works with iPhone 5 and newer models as long as you connect the iPhone using an Apple lightning cable.
Android Auto
The Alpine iLX-F309E includes Android Auto and works with the Google Assistant (requires both a USB cable and Bluetooth® connection; requires an Android™ phone running 5.0 [Lollipop] or higher and the Android Auto app). To access the Google Assistant on Android Auto, say "OK Google" or select the mic button. Google Assistant in Android Auto allows users to play their favourite music, get driving directions to their destination, interact with smart home devices and reply to text messages – hands-free.
