Alpine Introduces the all-new Alpine Status sound system: using the same engineering and design concepts drawn from the third generation, Ultra High-Resolution AlpineF#1Status system, Alpine created “Alpine Status” to achieve High-Resolution Sound at a more approachable and accessible price point. The Alpine Status system is also extremely flexible: all components can be purchased and used in a “stand-alone” configuration.
For the audiophile that’s looking to build an ideal sound system, Alpine Status offers a wide range of Hi-Res Audio-enabled speakers. The Alpine Status HDZ-65CS Slim-Fit 2-Way speaker set with a high-resolution bandwidth of 55Hz – 40kHz includes a 170mm door woofer and a 40mm Slim-Fit tweeter that is easy to install in the original tweeter locations of your car. They also include high-end speaker x-overs.
All speaker cones are made from the same Carbon Composite material to create a unified timbre identity during playback. They get very close to the AlpineF#1Status speakers' look and feel, using a very similar construction and motor assembly, as well as identical build materials for the highest sound quality

Slim-Fit 2-Way Speaker System
Drawing from AlpineF#1Status trickle-down technology and materials, these Hi-Res Audio certified speakers deliver the highest audiophile sound quality up to 40kHz in your vehicle. The 2-way slim fit system consists of 170mm door woofers and 40mm Slim-Fit tweeters. They also include high-end X-over networks in the set.
Carbon Fiber Cones
All speakers in this set (as well as the HDZ-110 Alpine Status subwoofer) use backed carbon composite cones to achieve a fully unified timbre identity – resulting in excellent harmonics. Carbon is very lightweight and stiff, resulting in high dynamics and low distortion. Backed carbon composite technology is also used in race-car monocoques for its lightweight and high crash resistance.
Double-Gathered Edge
Yet another trickle-down technology from the AlpineF#1Status speakers: the double-gathered edge allows maximum cone excursion with excellent cone control and stability. This reduces sound distortion caused by cone wobble at higher volume levels.
Slim-Fit Tweeter
The included 40mm Hi-Res Audio slim-fit tweeters sound simply amazing and play up to 40kHz. They are significantly smaller than the Alpine Status HDZ-653 tweeters, with a focus on easy installability. They also include an integrated wave-guide, tuned-back chamber and a powerful neodymium magnet.
Alpine Status Full System
Alpine Status features many components that are optimized in both power and performance as a complete system to play at their intended high-resolution spec for excellent, audiophile sound quality. However, each component can be purchased independently for custom system building.
Audiophile Speaker X-Overs
The included 2-way x-over networks feature hand-selected, high-end components and offer many adjustment possibilities: you can adjust the tweeter level from +3dB, 0dB or -3dB and you can set the woofer X-Over to either 12dB/oct or 6dB/oct. The smoked acrylic cover bearing the Alpine logo can be slid-out to the front to gain access to the screw terminals and jumpers.
Audiophile Tweeter Version
If you want to achieve the best possible sound quality and have space for a custom tweeter installation, we recommend using the HDZ-653 instead. The 70mm Hi-res Audio ring-radiator tweeters sound simply amazing and play up to 40kHz. They feature a 25mm carbon fibre diaphragm that is tuned to perfectly harmonize with the mid-range speaker and woofer to achieve a fully unified timbre identity. They also include an integrated wave-guide, tuned-back chamber and a powerful neodymium magnet.
Studio Recording Spec
Alpine Status achieves 192kHz/24Bit playback, which is 6.5 times the amount of digital audio data in a standard CD or digital streaming service and exceeds the standard High-Resolution spec of 96kHz/24Bit found in most aftermarket sound solutions.
This allows Alpine Status to capture and accurately reproduce details like the breath of the artist or a musician’s subtle interaction with an instrument.
This capability not only reproduces music to the artist’s original intention but emulates the experience of a studio recording in the vehicle.
