Dual High Dynamic Range (HDR)
The Thinkware U3000 PRO’s front and rear cameras apply High Dynamic Range (HDR) processing to deliver smooth, lifelike video. By adjusting for both light and dark areas simultaneously, it maintains balanced exposure — revealing important details others might miss in glare, shadows, or sudden lighting changes.
Nighttime Picture Quality Correction
Images from videos recorded at night on poorly lit avenues, streets, or roads generally don’t look very clear. But with this, it’s an entirely different story. It’s equipped with enhancement sensors that make brightness, colour, and noise cancellation controls possible each time, resulting in vivid video recordings of your evening drive.
Automatic Exposure
A sudden rise in light exposure—whether from intense sunlight, oncoming headlights, or poor tunnel lighting—can cause ordinary dash cams to struggle with capturing clear images. However, THINKWARE dash cams are designed to handle these challenging conditions with ease. As a result, you get clearer, more reliable footage regardless of the environment. In addition, they feature an automatic light exposure function that continuously adjusts brightness levels, ensuring crisp, well-balanced footage at all times.

RECORDING MODES
Continuous Recording Mode
Automatically activates as soon as the engine starts, this function lets you record videos that are saved in one-minute segments via an auto-looping mechanism.
Event Recording Mode
Active Impact Monitoring System, made possible by the built-in three-axis G-Sensor, automatically stores video data 10 seconds prior to and after a collision.
Manual Recording Mode
Similar to how a typical video camera works, you use this mode to record events in front of your vehicle, whether or not it’s in motion, as they happen.
Advanced Parking Surveillance
Provides full surveillance capabilities whenever your vehicle is parked. It records motion and impacts while the vehicle is parked.
Audio / Voice Recording
Not only does it capture vivid videos, but it also records crystal-clear audio. This enables you to enjoy top-tier comprehensive surveillance capabilities to the fullest, too
PARKING SURVEILLANCE MODE
With hardwiring installation, enjoy parking protection against potential mishaps and hit-and-runs by capturing footage when an impact or motion is detected (hardwiring cable or OBD-II cable required).
You can tailor the U3000 PRO’s Parking Surveillance mode to the coverage that best fits your surveillance needs by choosing from Impact/Motion Detection, Time Lapse, or Energy Saving parking modes.
New RADAR Parking Mode with Built-In RADAR
Radar Parking mode is a low-powered recording mode that utilises the U3000 PRO’s built-in radar to monitor motion with minimal power consumption (requires hardwiring or OBD-II cable). This allows for longer buffered parking surveillance, so you also have footage of events leading up to an incident. When a motion or impact is detected, the U3000 PRO will save a 20-sec video clip (10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the incident has been detected).
Note:
– Parking Surveillance mode requires Hardwiring Cable (professional installation recommended) or OBD-II Power Cable.
– The distance and degree of detection can be different depending on the environment and other factors.
– Not every object is guaranteed to be detected.
– Thinkware CONNECTED features are unavailable in Radar Parking Mode, as all network data functions are turned off to reduce power consumption.
Impact and Motion Detection
With Impact and Motion Detection turned on, any potential vandalism attempts and hit-and-run drivers while the car is parked will be caught in the act. In Parking mode, Impact detection captures any impact to the vehicle while Motion Detection captures any movement around the vehicle.
Time Lapse
Time Lapse in Parking mode records footage at 2fps, enabling the dash cam to continuously record long periods of parking surveillance without increasing power consumption.
Energy Saving 2.0
Energy Saving 2.0 in Parking Surveillance mode records footage only when impacts are detected, allowing the dash cam to reduce power consumption and remain in Parking mode for longer.
Smart Parking Mode
This safety feature prevents heat-related damage by automatically switching the U3000 PRO to a low-power mode if the temperature inside the vehicle gets too high during Parking mode.
In this state, the dash cam records incidents triggered by impacts only until its operating temperature is safe again to resume Motion Detection or Timelapse Parking mode.

2. Connecting the dash cam to a mobile hotspot device or a Wi-Fi network with Internet access will consume data. Carrier/Service Provider charges may apply.
3. The smartphone used to set up the Internet connection on the dash cam cannot also be used as a mobile hotspot for the dash cam. A different hotspot device/smartphone is required.
4. To connect the dash cam to the internet, use the Thinkware Dash Cam Link App. Once the dash cam is connected to the internet, you can go to the Thinkware CONNECTED app to get access to CONNECTED features.
5. Thinkware CONNECTED service is in beta version right now, and some features may be unavailable or limited.

VIA BUILT-IN WI-FI
Wi-Fi connectivity supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for the best experience in different environments.
2.4GHz has a longer range and can be captured from a farther distance. The longer range network also captures other devices, thus preferred in undisturbed environments.
5GHz has a shorter range and can offer better performance with a higher bandwidth. The shorter range network avoids interference, thus preferred for a less congested experience within shorter distances.
*Download speed and connection experience can differ according to smartphone specifications and telecommunications conditions.
**5GHz band may be more suitable for cities due to possible disruptions in telecommunications environments.

High Speed / Urban Forward Collision Warning System
Keep a safe distance from the vehicle you’re following with the help of FCWS / uFCWS. Equipped with a state-of-the-art road safety warning system, it calculates the real-time distance between your vehicle and the automobile in front of you at a speed of over 30 kilometres per hour (km/h) (in expressways) and under 30 km/h in a busy, congested city. This dash cam issues a three-level early warning to the driver, depending on the danger of the possible collision.

Front Vehicle Departure Warning
When stopped at an intersection or a traffic jam, this dash cam's Front Vehicle Departure Warning (FVDW) intelligent guidance system lets you know when the vehicle in front of you has already started moving, helping you stay attentive each time.

PROTECTION SYSTEM
Like all THINKWARE dash cams, this one comes with a built-in thermal sensor that protects it from getting hounded by the intense heat. Clad in a specially-designed heat discharge construction, the sensor automatically shuts the U3000 PRO down to prevent it from overheating, allowing the dash cam to thrive even in the harshest Australian weather conditions.
