The Thinkware U3000 offers advanced parking modes for added security. The Smart Parking Mode optimizes energy consumption by switching to low-power mode in high temperatures. The Parking Surveillance Mode automatically activates upon detecting motion or impact while parked, providing video evidence of any mishaps. Dual RADAR detection, built into both cameras, wakes up and starts recording when it detects a person or vehicle in low-power recording situations. Energy Saving Mode 2.0 and Time Lapse Mode further optimize power consumption for continuous parking surveillance without draining the battery.
Stay connected with the Thinkware CONNECTED app. Receive impact notifications or monitor your vehicle remotely through your smartphone. The app provides remote access to features such as the most recent parking image, impact notifications, remote live view, emergency messaging, vehicle status and driving history. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
Whether driving under bright sunlight, heading out of a tunnel or getting under the shadow of a tall building, its WDR feature helps get you through a sudden change in frontal light exposure levels that yield excessively bright or dark recordings. WDR eliminates overly bright spots and corrects colour balance to produce clear images.
Night-time Picture Quality Correction
Images from videos recorded at nighttime on poorly lit avenues, streets or roads generally don’t look that lucid. But with this, it’s an entirely different story. It’s armed with enhancement sensors that make brightness, colour and noise cancellation controls possible each time, hence, vivid video recordings of your evening drive.
Automatic Exposure
A sudden rise of light exposure brought about by intense sunlight, headlight beams from oncoming vehicles, or poor lighting in a tunnel may give any ordinary dash cam trouble capturing clear images, but not THINKWARE dash cams. They come with an automatic light exposure function that controls light exposure levels for crisp footage at all times.

Parking Surveillance Mode
New Radar Parking Mode with Built-in Radar
Radar Parking mode is a low-powered recording mode that utilizes the U3000’s built-in front and rear radars to monitor motion with minimal power consumption (requires hardwiring or OBD-II cable, OBD-II cable included). This allows for more extended parking surveillance with buffering so you have footage of events leading to an incident. When a motion or impact is detected, the U3000 will save a 20-second video clip of the incident (10 seconds before and after the motion or impact is detected).
Note:
- Parking Surveillance mode requires hardwiring or OBD-II cable (Bundle includes OBD-II cable).
- The distance and degree of detection can differ depending on the environment and other factors.
- Not every object is guaranteed to be detected.
- Thinkware CONNECTED features are unavailable in Radar Parking Mode as all network data functions are turned off to reduce power consumption.

Motion Detection
Motion Detection Parking mode saves a 20-sec video clip after a motion or impact has been detected (10s before and 10s after the event)
Time Lapse
Time Lapse Parking mode records footage at 2fps, enabling the dash cam to continuously record long periods of parking surveillance without increasing power consumption.
Energy Saving 2.0
Energy Saving Parking mode saves a 20-sec video clip only after an impact has been detected (the 20s immediately after the event), allowing the U3000 to reduce its power consumption and remain in Parking mode for a longer duration.
Note: Thinkware CONNECTED features are unavailable in Energy Saving Mode as all network data functions are turned off to reduce power consumption.
Smart Parking Mode
This safety feature prevents heat-related damage by automatically switching the U3000 to a low-power mode if the temperature inside the vehicle gets too high during Parking mode. In this state, the dash cam only records incidents triggered by impacts until its operating temperature is safe to resume Motion Detection or Timelapse Parking mode.
Easy Wi-Fi Device Pairing
Built-in Bluetooth allows hassle-free dash cam pairing with your compatible Android or iOS device via the Thinkware Link App. Once paired, replay your latest driving videos and manage your dash cam’s settings with the Thinkware Link App.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
Enjoy the best connectivity in any environment with the U3000’s dual-band Wi-Fi. Your iOS or Android smartphone can be connected to either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz bandwidth for faster file transfers.
- Hardwire kit installation is required for parking mode features, HWC is included in the kit.
- Thinkware Connected Feature disclaimer:
- The dash cam requires an internet connection via a mobile hotspot to use this feature. Connecting the dashcam to a mobile hotspot device or a Wi-Fi network with Internet access will consume data. Carrier/Service Provider charges may apply.
- The smartphone used to set up the Internet connection on the dash cam cannot also be used as a mobile hotspot for the dash cam. A different hotspot device/smartphone is required.
- To connect the dash cam to the internet, use the Thinkware Dash Cam Link App. Once the dash cam is connected to the internet, you can access the Thinkware CONNECTED app to access CONNECTED features.
- For Electric Vehicles (EV) and modern vehicles fitted with Variable Voltage (Smart) Alternators, we recommend installing the dash cam with the Thinkware External Dash Cam Battery (sold separately).
