Focal K2-Power M Series

Once again Focal has raised the bar, with a brand new series of speakers, with the addition of a new series to compliment their K2 series with the introduction of the all-new K2 POWER M series
Focal is launching a new updated K2 series of upscale car speakers that are positioned just below the brand’s ultra high-end Utopia M series. The new line has many of the same features as Utopia, but the components are sold a la carte, rather than in a full system.
The line, called K2 M uses the “M” shape of Focal’s current Utopia M line.
Focal K2 M is notable for its “micro speaker” tweeter that has a frequency range of about 600Hz to 35kHz. It has a spider-like woofer so it can use a lower crossover frequency. The new tweeter is called FRAK, Full Range Aluminum Kevlar.
The line also includes a 3-inch midrange with an ultrawide frequency range of up to 9kHz so it may be used with only a subwoofer and tweeter if there is little room in the car for more components.
Other components include a 6.5-inch mid-woofer and a 5-inch subwoofer–a fully redesigned follow-up to a 5-inch subwoofer Focal introduced 20 years ago.
The line does not include passive crossovers. It is designed for use with a Digital Signal Processor (DSP).

Focal presents K2 Power M. The new K2 Power M line inherits the best features of the iconic K2 line – born in 1986, which has continued to evolve over the years – and the best of recent innovations by Focal. Made in France in Focal’s workshops, the K2 Power M active products comprise a midrange, a woofer, a subwoofer and a brand-new tweeter. These powerful, demonstrative products are also ultra-compact for easy installation into all cabins.
